Kissing You

I'm always thinking about you… thinking about talking to you, what our next conversation will be like… about holding you in my arms… and waking up next to you.

But lately, I'm not sure what it is, but…

I've been spending a whole awful lot of time just thinking about kissing you.

Just… holding you, feeling you pressed against me… looking into your eyes as I brush a lock of hair behind your ear.

And then just kissing you.

Not the worlds-colliding, lips smashing into each other kissing that I write about from time to time (though I think about that, too…).

But, gently. Tenderly. Every last once of my considerable love for you expressed in one simple gesture…

Pulling back, hand in hand… losing ourselves in each other's eyes…

Before kissing you again. And again. And again.

Of all the things I know I have to look forward to… right now, getting to kiss you is right at the very top of my list. I guess I never really knew what longing was until I started longing to taste those sweet lips…
